There will be 2 masses celebrated as follows:
English mass at 07:30am
Setswana mass at 10am
Easter Vigil 2026
The Easter Vigil, also known as the Paschal Vigil or the Great Vigil of Easter, is a liturgy held as the first official celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus. It is a significant and solemn event.
Parishioners are requested to be seated by 6:30pm
Passion Service 2026
The commemoration of Jesus Christ’s suffering and crucifixion. The Solemn Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord includes three parts:
Liturgy of the Word: Reading the Passion according to one of the Synoptic Gospels.
Adoration of the Cross: Veneration of the Cross, symbolizing Jesus’ sacrifice.
Holy Communion: Distribution of consecrated Hosts.
Good Friday is the only day of the year when Holy Mass is not celebrated.
Parishioners are requested to be seated and silent at 2:30pm
Stations of the Cross 2026
The Stations of the Cross, also known as the Way of the Cross or the Via Crucis, depict Jesus Christ’s journey on the day of His crucifixion. These stations typically consist of a series of images or representations, accompanied by prayers.
These will be led alternating in English and Setswana in a procession in the area surrounding the church.
Mass of the last supper 2026
The Mass of the Lord’s Supper is a Holy Week service celebrated on the evening of Maundy Thursday. It marks the beginning of the Easter Triduum and commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples more explicitly than other celebrations of the Mass.
Mass will be celebrated in English and Setswana. Parishioners are requested to be seated by 5:30pm.
Penitential Service 2026
Lenten Talk will be at 5:30pm, there will be Penitential service, and Priests around Gaborone Deanery will be available to listen to confessions. Parishioners are encouraged to attend.
Palm Sunday 2026
Sunday mass that commemorates Jesus Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem as described in each of the four canonical Gospels.
There will be 2 masses on the day
Mass in English at 07:30am. Procession with palms will be done at 7am
Mass in Setswana at 10am. Procession with palms will be done at 09:30am

Chrism Mass 2026
A Diocesan event where all priests renew their vows. During this solemn ceremony, the holy oils used for sacraments and rituals are blessed or consecrated. Mass starts promptly at 9am. Please be seated by 08:30am

Stations of the Cross 2026
Held every Friday in the Season of Lent from 5:30pm to 6:15pm.
The Stations of the Cross is a series of prayers that commemorate the events of Jesus Christ's Passion and death. All those who are interested in leading Stations of the Cross should please register with Bogadi Moloi (72386857) from the English mass and Binkie Dinku (73379229) from the Setswana mass, or Lesley in the Parish office.
Ash Wednesday mass 2026
Ash Wednesday is a solemn reminder of human mortality and the need for reconciliation with God and marks the beginning of the penitential Lenten season. There will be 3 masses at the Cathedral, 6am, 1pm and 5:30pm
Thanksgiving Mass
Join us as we gather together as a Parish to give thanks to God for all he has done for us. The day will start with Holy Mass at 9am and will follow with a series of activities. The theme for the event is “United as One CKC Family: Pilgrims of Hope”. See the Poster for more information.

Memorial for Pope Francis
We are all deeply saddened by the news of our Holy Father, Pope Francis. At Diocesan level, we will celebrate a memorial mass on Wednesday at Christ the King Cathedral at 5:30pm. All Catholics are invited to this mass to pray for our beloved Pope. Refer announcements section for the full letter from the Bishop.

Penitential Service
Confessions will start from 4:30pm wherein everyone who wishes to confess can come to the Parish to confess. The priest will be in Church the whole day for this noble religious exercise. Penitential Service will start at 5:30pm and confessions will continue for those who could not come earlier.
